Tignale is situated 550 metres above sea level, in the heart of a regional park (Parco dell’Alto Garda) with wonderful panoramic views and with many footpaths for excursions on foot and in mountain bike. The famous Sanctuary of Montecastello (a national monument) is located here; there is an old lemon house where lemons are still cultivated, an oil mill, which produces organic olive oil and the Park Visitors Centre and Museum.
To get to Tignale leave the A4 motorway at the Brescia Est junction, following the directions for Lago di Garda – Salò, and then from Salò the signs for Gargnano – Riva di Garda. After Gargnano and then two tunnels, turn left on the road signposted Tignale. If you are coming from Trento or Bolzano leave the A22 motorway at the Lago di Garda nord – Rovereto Sud junction and follow the signs to Riva del Garda.
From Riva follow the signs for Brescia. After Limone and then Tremosine turn right on the road signposted Tignale.
